Los Lomas to San Pancho Hike
This hike is all road, albeit some of the road is not well maintained, so some of it may feel like a large trail.
From the central entrance of Las Lomas, you will hike through the small pueblo and out to the western part of the area.
Soon, after a few hills, you will hear and see the ocean. The road splits to the right down to the beach and left up into the hills towards San Pancho.
Next is a three-way intersection. Don't head down to the beach and don't go to the left. Proceed forward through some new housing.
The road will take you into the hills up and down and eventually travel through the middle of Lo de Perla, The Orchid Farm.
Then, the road up becomes smaller and less traveled by vehicles. Along the way, you can see the Sierra Madre mountains to the east, which is home to a jaguar preserve.
The trail goes up and down with many trees and birds to see and hear. When you come to an intersection, turn right. If you turn left, it will go up a mile and end up in a viewpoint.
There are roads to the left and to the right, but continue on. Try not to head down towards the beach, and eventually, you will come to your destination, San Pancho.
